The Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives is seeking to end all federal funding for HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention programs.

For a person who is HIV+ or has been diagnosed with AIDS and does not have the resources for medication, this budget cut would have fatal consequences.

There are more than 1 million people in the United States who are HIV+ or who have been diagnosed with AIDS. The majority of them are gay men and black women.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson strongly professes to be Christian. Is this budget choice a Christian act?
