If ever there were a Christian hero, it is Dr. Mr. Luther King, Jr.

He chose the clergy as his profession. Then he not only preached it, but did an exemplary job of living it.

Standing up for equal rights for African Americans, his leadership was essential to the creation of laws promoting equal rights for voting, public accommodations, public schools, employment, and so much more.

His tireless actions put his life in constant danger. Despite the threats, he persisted until he was killed. He truly gave his life to God and God’s service.

He preached love of all people, forgiveness, and civil disobedience. His was not a ministry of division or hate. He did not promote a destructive anger.

He was a contemporary disciple setting a Christian example for all of humanity.
